First Arkansas Bank and Trust – 4.44% APY Checking Account

Last week, I posted about CB&S Bank’s 4.41% APY checking account. Well, if that deal sounded great to you, I have great news; I have found another bank that is offering yet another great deal. First Arkansas Bank and Trust is currently offering a checking account earning 4.44% APY on balances up to $50,000 as of 4/8/2008.
In order to be eligible for this great checking rate, you must do the following –

Make at least 10 debit card transactions per billing cycle.

Set up one monthly direct deposit per billing cycle.

Receive e-statements.

Sign into your online banking account at least once per billing statement.
This deal does sound a little similar to the other checking account deal I posted earlier in the week. This type of rate is well worth taking advantage of and the requirements listed above aren’t hard at all to keep track of. A simple calendar or e-mail reminders will do the trick!
