Category: Checking Accounts- gotalkmoney.com- 9:08 am/ January 31, 2009The Bank of Fayetteville is offering a lot more than free checking. As of today (1/31/2009), the bank is offering a sky high interest rate of 4.00% APY on balance of up to $50,000. 0.50% APY is paid on all balances over $50,000.
Here’s what you have to do to qualify –
- Must have at least $100 to open up the account.
- Make at least 10 VISA CheckCard transactions per month.
- Make 1 direct deposit or ACH/Electronic payment.
- You have to receive an E-statement.
If you don’t meet all of these requirements monthly, you get a 0.15% APY on your account.

- ATM refunds up to $25 per statement cycle.
- $1000 overdraft privilege*
- Unlimited check writing.
- 24-hour telephone banking.
- Free online bill pay and banking.
- Free VISA CheckCard/ATM Card.
