1/10 - Big Drops in the Industry
Category: CD Rates- gotalkmoney.com- 2:25 pm/ January 10, 2008The CD market is steadily going down and if you haven’t heard already, Bank of America is in talks with Countrywide on buying them out. For a few months now, Countrywide has been on the brink of bankruptcy. Countrywide does offer very competitive rates but a lot of investors are steering clear of them because of this issue.
Other banks that took some huge tumbles this week were –
Corus’ 1 year CD went from 5.10% to a 4.69%
E*Trade’s 3 month CD went from 5.00% to 4.35%
