Tab bank

TAB bank the Flying J bank has been a real pain.
It took 2 weeks just to get an account set up. For a bank that is supposed to be trucker friendly the paper work was not.
First we went on line to try to fill out an online application but they seem to be in the dark ages and wanted everything printed out and faxed. We have a lap top in the truck but no printer so finding a J with the banking service was the only option. Their trucker friendly hours of 9-5 weekdays turned this into a daily game ? find the bank while on a run!
Finally we won the game and got to a J that would print out the paperwork we needed and we got it faxed in. * some of the J?s do not even know they have a bank so expect funny looks when you ask.
We called to confirm they had the paper work and they said they would e-mail us when the account was set up. 3 days later we called and they said they were processing the paperwork 2 days after that we called and they took 15 min to find the paperwork and said they would process it.
2 days after that we called and they assured us that they had completed the paperwork and had MAILED us the information. Then came the fun part, trying to explain that OTR truckers are on the road and do not get mail. (We are an H/W team out 6-8 weeks at a time) their customer no-service department has no clue about the needs of drivers.
2 more weeks of calls, they would e-mail us the pin#; no they can?t e-mail the pin blah blah blah. I finally called and asked for the IT department, they were the only ones that understood what I was saying and the only ones so far that have been helpful. GO IT DEPT.
We finally got access to our account on-line and thought we were ok; the money that had been deposited was there. YAY--- NO now we are going through this all over again trying to get our money out of their bank-they say we have an ATM card and PIN?but don?t understand why we don?t just swing by the house and get it. They want more paperwork and changes in the account for us to transfer our money to our local bank account. Again telling us to stop by one of the 10 or so J?s across the country during the trucker friendly hours of 9-5 weekdays and get the paperwork.
We are at out wits end 5 weeks now and we can?t get to our money.
I guess we are back to the find the open J bank game again.
Our recommendation, stay away from TAB bank.
