Key Bank has no ethical standards. When a larger check is desposited, they will send you a notice in the mail that the account the check was from didnt have funds, and put a extremely long hold on it (15+ days). But the bank the check was from sent me a statement saying key bank had recieved the funds two days after the check was deposited yet i cant touch the money. I just dont see why the banks are in the situation they are in......

I've been with Keybank for years and I am impressed with how friendly and helpful they are. Of course NO bank is perfect and ALL banks make money off of clients, but I've never had a problem with them that wasn't solved in a timely manner and they offer many FREE services that other banks don't.

The day of a free lunch by banks are gone. All banks charge fees now, that we were prior accustomed to as being free. That includes Credit Unions. No bank steals money, all the fees are explained in their disclosure statement. We just have to learn to read. I personally bank at a half-dozen banks plus a Credit Union, including Key Bank. The service that Key has provided me has always been satisfactory and its customer service has been superb. You should try a few other National banks to make a fair comparison. And, the interest Key pays puts most National Banks to shame.

This bank steals as much money from you as legally possible. Tactics are unethical! BEWARE!!! Do NOT even consider using them. You make deposits and the money disappears for a few days - no one can explain where it goes but rest assured it doesn't go into your account so........... they charge you fee upon fee. Watch your deposit slip when making deposits - make sure they date it for the correct day or you'll be charged MORE FEES!!!

No accountability - Little customer service skills. Take my word for it. GO ELSEWHERE - at least stay away from the UNIVERSITY BRANCH in Salt Lake City, Utah.
