They raised my interest rate to 37.99% without provocation or notice. Their account reps were rude, and their business practices are abhorent. I noticed their stock is down to $0.35 today. I can't wait until it hits zero! I'm having a celebration on that long awaited day!

Don't do business with Advanta!!! Got socked with paying over 37% of an existing balance. I deactivated the card and could only get it down to 35%. All the other credit card rates are going down. Advanta goes up instead.

I opened a Business Charge Account (MC) with Advanta. Never late on payments, always paid 4 or 5 times the minimum balance and never exceded about 1/2 of the maximum balance. The booted my rates form 9.9 to 26.9% without warning and refuse to say why. They would not lower the rate either. The customer service rep did say that I had an excellent payment record. Go figure, screw your good clients that actually pay.
