CD of the Week: Metro Bank
This week is all about Metro Bank. Metro Bank has been in and out of the top ten charts but when they pop up, they do offer a pretty decent rate. Right now, you can get ahold of a 3 month, 3.50% APY CD. This CD only requires a $2,500 minimum deposit.

CD Rate Averages Updated
The CD averages for the month of May have been updated and every chart besides the 6 month chart went up. The biggest difference was the 5 year which went up from an average of 4.06% APY in April to a 4.50% APY in the month of May.

Not Much Change
Since it was a holiday weekend, there wasn't a lot of change in the market. The only big change was that Eloan took over the number one spot for the 3 year CD offering a 4.25% APY, $10,000 minimum.

M+T Bank Raises Rates
M+T Bank raised it's rate over the weekend. You can find their rates on the 2, 18 month, 3, and 5 year chart. Their best rate as of now would be their 2 year, 3.87% APY. All CDs require a $5,000 minimum deposit. All thier rates vary.

Metropolitan Bank Raises Rates
Metropolitan Bank raised it's 3 month CD rate over the week to grab the number one spot. This is the only top ten chart they are currently on. Their 3 month CD requires a $2,500 minimum deposit and the current rate is 3.50%

Eloan Increases Rates
Eloan is back in the market once again offering some competitive rates. Right now, you can get ahold of a 5 year CD at a rate of 4.75% APY. All of Eloan's CDs require a minimum deposit of $10,000. Eloan is also offering a 3.75% APY money market account.

CD of the Week: Corus
This week's CD of the week goes to the big investor's out there. This looks like the second week in a row where rates are increasing. This week we're picking the 6 month, 3.75% APY CD. It seems to be the best for it's value but the only downfall is that requires a 10k deposit.

National City Raises Rates
National City took over the 3 year CD #1 spot on Tuesday offering a nice 4.55% APY and the CD only requires a minimum initial deposit of $2,500. National City is also offering a 3.55% APY 18 month CD.

CD of the Week: GMAC
The past two weeks have looked pretty stable and this week, we're going to pick GMAC bank's 1 year, 4.10% APY. The reason is because they are offering a $500 minimum deposit. This is a great rate for a lot of people without a huge deposit!

2 New Money Market
This week was a slow week for CD rates, not much happened. 2 new banks were added to the top 10 money market charts. OnBank and Geauga Savings were added. OnBank is offering a solid 3.49% APY and you only need $1 to open!

Ascencia Raises Rates
Ascencia Bank raised it's rate over the week taking over the top #1 spot on the 2 year CD chart offering a 3.87% APY. Ascencia can also be found on the 6 month and 1 year CD chart. All of Ascencia's rates require a $500 minimum.
