New Money Market Leader: IndyMac Bank
Last week Flagstar bank held the crown for the number one money market rate at 4.25%. This rate only lasted one week as it dropped from 4.25% to 3.90%. IndyMac is debuting this week at 4.05% with a $1,000 minimum deposit.

Long Term Rates Rise
The long term CD rates rose as the short term CD rates dropped. If you're looking to invest in the long term, check out GMAC's rates. They currently have a CD in the top ten for every length and only require a very small opening deposit of $500.

We are going with the 6 month CD located at Washington Mutual. With money market rates dwindling, they are offering a fantastic 4.00% APY 6 month CD. Right now the industry average is a little under 3.76% APY.

Not only is Washington Mutual offering a great 4.00% APY Checking account, they're also offering two number one cd rates. Their 6 month CD rate is currently at 4.00% APY and their 5 year is at 4.25%, both industry leaders. Minimum deposit is $1,000.

GMAC Raises Rates
If you're looking for a bank with great reviews and very low minimum deposit, try checking out GMAC bank. Over the week, GMAC raised all of their rates, grabbing a number 1 spot on the 2 and 3 year chart. Be quick because they will probably drop fast.

New Money Market Leader
OneUnited lost it's number spot after keeping it for over 10 weeks. OneUnited dropped it's rate to a 4.00% APY from a 4.60%. Flagstar now holds the number 1 spot witha 4.25% APY. This is the first week they've held it.

Rates Look Good
For the first time in a while, CD rates actually went up instead of down. Most of the top ten charts did stay the same this week. A few new banks to note are Transportation Alliance and NewDominion.
